Each member of our treatment team receives continuously updated training and our office team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care.
Leslie – Appointment Coordinator
Leslie relocated to Wilmington from Blacksburg, Virginia in 2001 and joined our team in early 2006. She lives in Porters Neck with her daughter, Kyleigh and 2 pets. She finds joy in making people laugh and keeps the staff entertained. Leslie loves interacting with the patients and the community. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and being creative.
Renee – Orthodontic Assistant
Renee is a native of North Carolina and has been a part of our team since 2001. She lives on Topsail Island with her son, Jeffrey, and dog, Spencer. Renee has 21 years of experience in orthodontics and appreciates Dr. Gierie’s focus on modern technology. You can often find Renee on the baseball fields or on her boat when she is not working.
Cindy – Orthodontic Assistant
Cindy is a Wilmington native and has been assisting with us since February 2007. She has 25 years experience as an orthodontic assistant. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Cindy also enjoys relaxing by the ocean and expressing her creative side by drawing.
Stephanie – Treatment Coordinator
Stephanie is originally from Huntington, West Virginia. She moved to Wilmington in 1992 and has been with us from the very beginning. Stephanie lives with her husband of 35 years, Terry, and her two Boston Terriers, Millie Sue and Mollie Ann. She has a passion for animals and all things living. In her spare time you can find her down by the lake feeding the ducks or taking long walks with her husband and dogs.
Carli – Orthodontic Assistant
Carli is the newest member of our team. She is originally from Washington State and moved to the east coast in 1998. Carli has been with us since August 2008 when she relocated to Wilmington for her husband’s job. She lives in Boiling Spring Lakes with her husband, John, daughter, Kaitlyn and her Schnauzer, Cookie. When Carli is not working you can find her fishing or hanging out by the beach.
Laura – Orthodontic Assistant
Laura joined Gierie Orthodontics in 2006. Originally from Raleigh, NC she relocated to Wilmington in 1999. She is a UNC-Wilmington graduate. Her own experience with braces and jaw surgery as a teenager led her to become an orthodontic assistant. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable and seeing their new smiles being created. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
